The organisers of the 2025 Summerjam Competition have stirred controversy after eradicating Nigerian Afrobeats icon Davido from the listing of headlining performers and changing him along with his longtime rival, Burna Boy.
The replace, shared on the competition’s official Instagram account on Wednesday, June 25, instantly ignited a heated change between Davido’s 30BG fanbase and Burna Boy’s supporters, referred to as the Outsiders.
Within the put up, the organisers said:
“We’re really heartbroken to announce that Davido will not be acting at Summerjam 2025 resulting from logistical challenges… BUT we’ve provide you with a grasp plan the return of The African Big [Burna Boy]!”
