Olojudo of Ido Kingdom in Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, has expressed confidence in the capacity of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to find a lasting solution to the seeming lack of confidence between politicians and traditional rulers in Ekiti State.

The monarch spoke while announcing programmes for the Ajodun Ido 2022 holding yesterday in the ancient town, an occasion, he said, Governor Biodun Oyebanji and other several dignitaries had been invited to and expressed his belief they would honour the invitation.

His words: “Politicians have been very terrible when it comes to dealing with traditional rulers. But there are individuals who rise to the position of governor, who are smart and who know what to do and respect history.

“The governor is one of the people who fought for the creation of Ekiti State. He was a young man at that time and he was working with the then kabiyesis such as the Ewi, Alaaye and Alara. So, he knew how Ekiti was put together. Apart from that, we have a lot of confidence and hope in his ability to regain some of the good things that the state has lost in the past.

“We have a new governor, who is a home-grown ‘Ekiti Boy’. I expect him to be here for the occasion. And even if he doesn’t come here, I am sure he would send people. I am not forcing people to come, we know the governor is busy. By the grace of God, our son, Cyril Fasuyi, is going to be the next senator for Ekiti North.
