Enugu 2023: Awgu -Anike Community Laments No Access to Electricity, No Access to Good Road Network as Dr. Peter Mbah PDP Guber candidate Visits

As The Campaign for 2023 General Election has already kicked off, Dr. Peter Mba, PDP Gubernatorial candidate for Enugu State took a Tour on Wednesday to visit Anike Community And Awgu Central; All in Awgu Local Government Area for interactive session.

The Two Communities: Anike and Awgu Central commended and praised Dr. Peter Mbah that this Is the first of it’s kind for an aspirant to visit their community and engage them on Interactive Session, in order to hear say their needs.

Hon. Johnson Okwudili Obasi described Dr. Peter as a Man that can be trusted in his opening remark, “who speaks with passion and from his heart” and after reading his manifesto; he is convinced that he has the capacity to lead the Enugu state to the next Level.

Good Road in order of Priority is an access as Hon. Nnanna, Former Awgu Local govt chairman kicked off the interactive session.

Mrs. Elizabeth Okonkwo lamented that none access to good road network which is a major problem in the community has led a lot of women into suffering especially Anike community which has a fertile Land and they are predominantly farmers and farm food crops like cassava, Garden eggs, cocoyam, vegetables, etc and in most cases no transportation access to convey the farm produce to the farm. She also alerted Dr. Peter Mbah that there is no Good Health care/Hospital where nursing mothers and the young pregnant women can be taken care of!

She further stated that there is lack of Teachers in Community Schools and Anike community can’t boost of 40 teachers in the whole community which is a big challenge.

Chief Damian Chukwu continued that there is no access to Electricity and the need to equip the development center in order to improve the welfare of the people.

Chief Iloegbe Bernard stressed the need for the government to help the Elders especially Retired Civil Servants in the community and equally asked Dr. Peter Mbah to select graduates from the community as Commissioners and other important key position when elected the Governor of Enugu State.

The State Chairman, PDP, Chief Augustine Nnamani said in his remark that he is happy and full of Joy the communities Assembled in Mass and Dr. Peter Mbah is the only Candidate that will do what they’ve asked him to do if he is voted for! He also used the medium to encourage them to go and get their voter’s card from INEC office and Get Ready for 2023 General Election in order to vote for the right candidates.

Dr. Peter Mbah while addressing the communities told the people that all he was seeing in Awgu is Opportunities and admiration of the beautiful topography of Land which will soon be transformed to a World class tourist center and the community will be a Beauty to Behold.

He reassured them that he has listened to everything said about Basic Social amenities which has been listed out. and Awgu will be turned World Class Film city, as Hon. Toby Okechukwu demanded. Set up a Site, so people can have access to information and part of our plan is to build a Tear4 Hyper skills Data Center, that will obviously have a full coverage not just in Enugu but the entire South East.

He Continued that the 10,000km road is not a mistake as the road map to all that has been stated here today is fully covered in the Manifesto; saying this journey of Greatness, journey of growth, journey of development, And it is the future greatness that we are saying is Here, “Tomorrow is Here” and there is no more time to waste and we know what is the need and Top priority of Anike Community.
