Paul Ibe, the Media Adviser to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, on Friday condemned the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola, for allegedly delving into politics.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that expressing joy that the Governor of his state (Oyo), Seyi Makinde, had continued to support Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers in the coalition of five governors, now known as the G5, Ariwoola joked that Makinde was being held to ransom by Wike by threatening to take back his sister (Makinde’s wife), an indigene of Rivers State, from the Oyo governor.

This Day Newspaper also quotes Ariwoola showering praises on Wike.

Recall that Wike is at loggerheads with Atiku.

“The Chief of Justice of Nigeria’s reported needless talk on the G-5 is a joke taken too far. I wonder what will be his position when a case involving the group or its members comes up before him,” Ibe wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

Wike, alongside several of his colleague, are insisting that the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, must relinquish his office for the party to have peace.

The governor said besides Ayu promising to resign if a northerner is nominated the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Atiku, who emerged the party’s candidate in May, also assured him Ayu will leave office.
