Tobi Amusan honoured by Ogun State authorities


Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, honored athletes from the state who excelled within the thirteenth African Video games in Accra with money prizes at a particular ceremony held on the Alake Sports Centre in Abeokuta.

Gold medal winners obtained N500,000 every, whereas silver and bronze medalists have been awarded N300,000 and N250,000 respectively.

The occasion celebrated the achievements of the state athletes at each nationwide and worldwide competitions, acknowledging distinguished names like Tobi Amusan, represented by her mom, Dorcas Adesokan, Adebisi Adekanbi, Pleasure Ola, Onyebuchi Chisom, and Sagari John.

The Commissioner for Sports, Wasiu Isiaka, praised the athletes for his or her laborious work and dedication, emphasizing the significance of celebrating their achievements to spice up morale and encourage future generations.

He highlighted that these rewards acknowledge the athletes’ perseverance and dedication, marking their names in historical past as champions.
