Withheld salaries: SSANU, NASU begins protest July 9


The Joint Motion Committee (JAC) of Senior Employees Affiliation of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) and Non Educational Employees Union of Instructional and Related Establishments (NASU) have directed her members in all public universities and allied establishments to start a sooner or later protest on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

In keeping with a round signed by NASU common Secretary, Comrade Peter Addyemi and SSANU President, Comrade Mohammed Haruna Ibrahim, the employees mentioned the protest is to make sure federal authorities pay their members their 4 months withheld salaries.

They mentioned regardless of completely different conferences with each the Minister of Schooling and the Minister of State Labour and Employment, nothing was finished concerning the fee of the withheld salaries.

Sadly, the engagement with the Minister of Schooling has not proven any convincing dedication on the fee of the withheld salaries and resolutions of different pending grievances of JAC of the 2 unions.
