The Anambra State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led state authorities has fraudulently refused to conduct native authorities elections for greater than 18 years within the state.

The above assertion was contained in a congratulatory message to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the current Supreme Courtroom verdict on conduct of native council polls in all of the states with out elected chairmen and councilors and subsequent withdrawal of allocations to such states which Anambra state is inclusive.

The congratulatory message which was signed by the state chairman Chief Basil Ejidike, held that the APGA led state authorities used unelected individuals to run the 21 council areas within the state thereby denying Ndi-Anambra their rights of getting democratically elected officers to run the native governments.

Ejidike alleged that the APGA led state authorities has persistently continued to misappropriate funds accruing to native governments and that the massive federal allocations to native governments in Anambra State doesn’t replicate on the extent of infrastructure within the rural areas therefore the underdevelopment on the grassroots.
