The trade, in an announcement despatched on to its customers on Wednesday, stated this resolution was primarily based on its ongoing evaluation of insurance policies within the markets it serves.
“We’re discontinuing OKX providers in Nigeria after latest native legal guidelines and laws modifications.
“From August 16, 2024, our prospects will not be capable to open any new positions or entry any providers on the platform, except for withdrawals and shutting/redemption of open positions,” the assertion learn.
OKX requested its customers to overview their accounts and supplied steps to retrieve their property.
The corporate stated from August 16, customers “will solely be capable to withdraw your property; you won’t be able to deposit or transact in any other case.”
“Whereas your funds stay safe and accessible in your account, we extremely encourage you to withdraw them to your personal pockets or your accounts on different third-party platforms by 12:00 am (PST) on August 30, 2024.
