FG stops sale of N40,000 subsidised rice to staff

The Nigerian Authorities on Thursday, August 8, stated it has suspended the deliberate sale of subsidised rice to civil servants.

A contemporary round issued by the Ministry of Particular Responsibility and Inter-Governmental Affairs stated it has withdrawn the round directing civil servants focused on subsidised rice to use.

Dated August 2, 2024, the round was signed by the ministry’s Director of Human Sources, Aderonke Jaiyesimi.

Nevertheless, Jaiyesimi didn’t give any motive for the withdrawal of the preliminary memo which had requested staff to use for the N40,000 baggage of rice.

She additionally didn’t point out if the scheme was stopped or solely suspended.
