The Inspector-Basic of Police Monitoring Unit in Abuja has invited Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh in reference to an investigation into legal defamation, cyberbullying, and forgery.
Within the invitation letter signed by the Head of the IGP Monitoring Unit, A.A. Elleman, the police said that Dikeh’s title “prominently appeared” within the investigation being performed by the unit.
The letter, dated August 5, learn: “This workplace is investigating a case of legal defamation, forgery, falsehood, cyberbullying, and legal conversion reported to the Inspector-Basic of Police, during which your title and others function prominently.
“In view of the above, you might be kindly requested to attend an interview with the undersigned via SP Aminu Abdullahi Sokoto on seventh August 2024 at 10:00hrs to shed extra gentle on the allegations.
“Your typical cooperation on this regard could be extremely appreciated.”
The Drive spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed, on Friday, that Dikeh was invited following a petition towards her.
He added that she had been launched whereas the investigation continues.
“She was solely invited to reply to a petition filed towards her, and he or she has since left the unit, whereas the investigation continues,” Adejobi mentioned.
