The breakdown of 109 Senators’ Month-to-month Wage has emerged amid controversy.
PoliticalNews Nigeria experiences that the Income Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Fee (RMAFC) has revealed that every of the 109 senators occupying legislative seats within the crimson chamber earns ₦1,063,860 wage and allowances per thirty days.

RMAFC chair M. B. Shehu, in a press release on Tuesday, made the clarification “in view of the current assertion made by Mr. Shehu Sani, a former Senator of the Federal Republic who was reported to have disclosed to the general public that every Senator collects month-to-month operating price of ₦13.5 M along with the month-to-month ₦750, 000.00 prescribed by the Fee”.
Shehu mentioned RMAFC doesn’t have the constitutional powers to implement compliance with the correct implementation of the remuneration package deal of lawmakers. “This lacuna is, nevertheless, being addressed by the Nationwide Meeting,” he mentioned.
The RMAFC chief mentioned some allowances are common whereas others are non-regular. “Common allowances are paid frequently with primary wage whereas non-regular allowances are paid as when due.
