In a second video, the woman admitted that she was conscious that destroying the Nigerian passport was mistaken however she had no choice.
She additional apologised to the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and Nigerians for her conduct and stated she hoped different girls perceive her plight.
Favour’s apology comes shortly after the NIS introduced that it had launched an investigation into the matter.
The NIS in an announcement stated, “If the allegations are substantiated, her actions would have constituted a breach of Part 10(b) of the Immigration Act 2015 (as amended), with corresponding penalties outlined below Part 10(h) of the identical Act.”
