Professional-Wike Lawmakers Chide Fubara Over Funding Promotion Company Appointments – Unbiased Newspaper Nigeria

PORT HARCOURT – pro-Wike Rivers State Home of Meeting led by the Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule, has scolded the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara over his current appointment of the State Funding Promotion Company Board.

The lawmakers throughout their forty first legislative sitting on Thursday, highlighted that there was no legislation within the state establishing the Company.

The Home expressed its displeasure when the Chairman of the Home Committee on Commerce and Business, Hon. Gerald Oforji, offered a Report on the purported inauguration of the Board of the Rivers State Funding Promotion Company by Governor Fubara.

The Committee acknowledged that such an Company if correctly established would create a conducive local weather to draw and develop companies within the State; however regretted the absence of any legislation recognized to the Rivers State Home of Meeting, establishing such an Company.

He emphasised that such acts represent misconduct and will probably be correctly addressed, recalling related actions taken by Governor Fubara, together with the appointment of people to the Board of the Bureau for Public Procurement with out regard to extant legal guidelines.
