The {Economic} and {Financial} Crimes Fee, EFCC, says operatives from its Sokoto Zonal Directorate on Saturday arrested 13(13) suspected web fraudsters, popularly generally known as “Yahoo Boys,” in Sokoto, Sokoto State.
Based on an announcement issued by the EFCC Spokesman, Dele Oyewale, the suspected “Yahoo Boys” have been arrested within the Gidan Yaro and Dandima areas of the state.
The apprehension, Oyewale added, was primarily based on actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.
He famous that each one the suspects claimed to be college students of the Usmanu Danfodio College Sokoto.
The anti-graft company spokesman added that the suspects could be charged in courtroom upon completion of investigations.
