Operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have embarked on manhunt for gunmen who abducted Victoria Dandaura, wife of the head of the Corps’ Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’SSIS) at her residence in Gidi-Gidi, around Cattle market, Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Mrs Dandaura was kidnapped by the gunmen on Wednesday at about 7 p.m from inside her living room and whisked away at a gunpoint, NSCDC Director, Public Relation’s Office (PRO), Mr Olusola Odumosu, said in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
Her husband’s brother who is also a personnel of the Corps serving in Nasarawa State Command, ASC1 Ezekiel Dandaura, was also shot during the attack and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital facility,†the spokesman said.
Odumosu statement partly reads , “unknown gunmen stormed the residence of Deputy Commandant, Apollos Dandaura, and took control of the environment by shooting sporadically in the air and thereafter whisked the wife away at gun point.
“She was Kidnapped inside her living room and taken away without any traces for now.â€
“DC Dandaura’s brother, a personnel of the Corps serving in Nasarawa State Command, ASC1 Ezekiel Dandaura, was shot during the attack.
“He sustained gunshot injuries in the cause of the attack and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital facility,†the spokesman said. (NAN) )
