ICPC has arrested NSCDC Deputy Commandant and Former Navy Admiral over alleged N3 billion fraud.

 

PoliticalNews Nigeria reviews that the Impartial Corrupt Practices and Different Associated Offences Fee (ICPC) has arrested Adam Imam Yusuf, a Deputy Commandant of the Nigerian Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kogi State, over the alleged diversion of greater than N3 billion.

 

Yusuf, who was at giant till now, was taken into custody from his Gwagwalada, Abuja residence and is about to face prosecution.

 

ICPC investigations revealed that former Chief of Naval Employees, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin (rtd.), allegedly orchestrated the fraud by way of Yusuf and former Brigadier Basic Ishaya Bauka Gangum (rtd.).

 

 

 

The alleged scheme reportedly concerned the diversion of public funds utilizing 92 fictitious corporations that weren’t registered with the Company Affairs Fee (CAC).

 

An investigation by the ICPC traced these funds to Lahab Built-in, Gate Coast Properties, and different affiliated corporations, resulting in the acquisition of over 18 properties, together with filling stations.

 

4 of those properties have been forfeited to the federal government to this point, whereas authorized proceedings proceed over the remaining property. The ICPC can be intensifying efforts to apprehend different suspects at giant.
