A 23-year-old man recognized as Usman Mohammed has been killed throughout an assault on a Mosque in Kaduna State by some gunmen.
The Kaduna Police Command stated the gunmen launched the assault on the worshipers who have been praying in a mosque in Rigasa.
Hassan Mansir, the spokesperson for the police in Kaduna stated 12 suspects have been arrested in reference to the incident which occurred at about 2 am on Friday.
In keeping with Mansir, the attackers, totally armed mobilised from from Malalin Gabas, Tudun Wada, Rafin Guza, and Unguwar Baduko areas.
They attacked the worshippers at Layin Bilya, Makwa Highway and Rigasa Kaduna.
Mansir said that the police deployed its officers and a few members of the Civilian Joint Job Drive to the scene of the incident following a misery name from a resident.
He stated that upon their arrival, the attackers had left, after stabbing Mohammed to loss of life with a pointy knife.
Noting that an investigation has been launched into the assault, Mansir stated 12 suspects have been arrested and can be totally investigated.
He stated, “The Kaduna State Police Command has considerably elevated safety deployments throughout strategic areas, notably round mosques the place such prayers are carried out.
“The general public is urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious actions promptly to the police to assist in efficient crime prevention,” Mansir famous.
