Twenty-three kids have been rescued from some suspected human traffickers within the Kubwa space of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
The FCT Police Command mentioned the youngsters had been rescued on Thursday, March 20, from a baby trafficking syndicate working within the guise of an orphanage.
In a press release issued on Saturday, March 22, the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh mentioned the police obtained credible intelligence on the operations of the suspects on the Mom Deborah Orphanage in Kubwa.
Adeh mentioned some operatives of the power had been deployed to the placement the place a three-year-old little one suspected to have been stolen from her dad and mom in Kaduna was rescued amongst others.
She famous that the proprietor of the orphanage, Ijeoma Andy was arrested alongside two different suspects.
Stating that the Police are working in the direction of apprehending different members of the kid trafficking syndicate, Adeh mentioned an extra 22 kids had been rescued from the placement.
