Nigerian activist Verydarkman has responded sharply to a 48-hour ultimatum issued by Abdul Danbature, who claims to be the president of Northern Youths. Danbature had demanded that the activist apologize to the Sultan of Sokoto following his response to a viral video by which the Sultan reportedly referred to social media as a “terrorist group.”
In his response, Verydarkman dismissed the demand, criticizing Danbature for misunderstanding the context of his preliminary commentary. He described the ultimatum as baseless and accused the youth chief of missing perception into the subject material.
Moreover, Verydarkman questioned Danbature’s authority to situation such a directive, asserting that he himself represents the voice of the Nigerian youth on a nationwide scale.

“To begin with, to all of the Arewa youths which might be offended by the video that I made and to this president that’s offended, to begin with I actually need to apologize that lots of you might be illiterates that you just don’t even perceive something, particularly you [the youth president]. I’m apologizing to the youths that voted for you. Secondly you might have the audacity because the president of the Arewa youths to offer the president of the entire Nigerian youths 48 hours you no worry, you your jurisdiction na simply the Arewa and North. My Jurisdiction na the entire Nigeria, you no worry me….”
