Three suspected human trafficking syndicates have been arrested by operatives of the Division of State Providers (DSS) over the sale of a two-year-old woman for N100,000.
The syndicates have been arrested after the kid had been trafficked from Abuja to Aba on the value of N100,000.
In a press release issued by the Nationwide Company for the Prohibition of Trafficking Individuals (NAPTIP), the kid was trafficked in February 2025 and was rescued by the company’s command in Abia State on Might 8.
“A 2-year-old woman, renamed Chiamaka Favor (alias), who was trafficked from Abuja to Aba in February 2025, has been rescued by NAPTIP Abia Command on Might 8, 2025.”
“The suspected trafficker, arrested by DSS Abia and handed over to NAPTIP, is alleged to have labored with three trafficking syndicates from Abuja and offered the kid to a purchaser for N100,000. Investigations are ongoing.”
