The new Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Yobe state, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has assumed office.
This was contained in a press statement signed the Head of the Department of Voter Education & Publicity by Rifkatu M. Duku .
The statement read in part, “the new REC is “A veteran and seasoned Administrator. He served in many federal agencies in the Country.
“Until his re-appointment and subsequent deployment to Yobe State, he was the immediate past Resident Electoral Commissioner of Bauchi State.
“His wealth of experience in the service to his fatherland will in no small measure add value to ensure free, fair, credible and all-inclusive elections in Yobe State.
“We wish him a successful stay and pray for a cordial relationship with all stakeholders.”
