FG broadcasts plans for 2025 Democracy Day celebration, inaugurates 14-man committee

The Federal Authorities on Thursday introduced plans for the 2025 Democracy Day celebration.

The planning committee for the celebration was inaugurated in collaboration with the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, George Akume who serves as its chairman.

In a press release issued by Segun Imohiosen, the Director of Data for the Workplace of the SGF, the Minister of Price range and {Economic} Planning, Atiku Bagudu represented Akume on the inauguration.

Imohiosen the minister defined that Democracy Day is a chance for the federal government to showcase its achievements to the individuals.

Bagudu stated the day additionally presents a possibility for the federal government to reassure the residents of its committment to delivering good governance.

In line with the minister, the newly inaugurated committee will collaborate with the President Bola Tinubu-led administration to make sure the development of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“The proposed actions lined up for the 2025 Democracy Day celebration are viz. World Press Briefing on Friday, sixth June 2025; Particular Juma’at Service on Friday, sixth June 2025; Church Service on Sunday eighth June 2025; Youth Programme to be held on Tuesday, ninth June 2025, Public Lecture, Wednesday, eleventh June 2025 and the Presidential Broadcast alongside Parade on Thursday, twelfth June, 2025,” the assertion stated.
