Two college students of the Obafemi Awolowo College who had been picked up by the Division of State Providers (DSS) have been launched.
The scholars – Oladepo Joshua and Ejike Kelechi – had been launched by the police within the late hours of Thursday, June 5.
Messers Joshua and Kelechi had been whisked away by operatives of the DSS following their protest towards the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The scholars had in protest of demolition homes by the minister raised their placards whereas Wike made a speech on the establishment.
Of their protest, the scholars requested the Minister to compensate the folks whom he had their homes demolished.
The duo had been arrested by the DSS and later handed over to the police on the Moore division in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
It was, nevertheless, gathered that the police had been compelled to launch the scholars after their colleagues stormed the premises of the Moore Police Division in a follow-up protest.
