Determined to ensure the success of the party in the 2023 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jema’a local government chapter has inaugurated its campaign council.

The campaign council which has Mr Nicholas Garba Sarkin Noma, member representing Jemaa/Sanga federal constituency at the House of Representatives as chairman, was inaugurated by the Jema’a local government PDP Chairman, Mr Nathaniel Bawa, in Kafanchan.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman Stakeholders PDP Jema’a local government, Mr Edward Percy Masha, said the campaign council would be the one that would be used to work for all aspirants from the presidential to House of Assembly elections.

Masha expressed joy over the type of election that would be held in 2023 which he said would be electronic voting, and would not give any room for rigging.

He observed that results would be sent directly to the server from the units and not from the Wards collation centres.

Against which backdrop he urged every inaugurated member to go to his unit and canvas for votes.

Speaking shortly before the inauguration, Mr Bawa said the campaign council was saddled with the responsibility of working out modalities and strategies that will guarantee success in the presidential, National Assembly, Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.

He said the campaign council, whose members were selected from supporters of the party from all the nooks and crannies of the Local Government, would execute activities under nine sub committees.

Each committee, according to him, would work under the leadership of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Nicholas Sarkinoma, said members of the Campaign Council received the responsibility because they were proud of the membership of the party.

While urging the members to fully support the Campaign Council to enable it achieve its mandate, Sarkin Noma challenged them to emancipate themselves from the present untold hardship occasioned by the present administration of the country.

In a remark, a former three – term member of the House of Representatives, Mr Ado Audu Dogo, appealed to members of the party to come out en masse and vote for all candidates of the party in the election.

Ado Dogo cautioned all supporters of the party to go back to their units and do everything possible to ensure landslide victory during the election, and avoid any tendency that would deprive the party of restoring its lost mandate.
