What a World Cup we are having in Qatar, the first round was amazing with exciting and shocking outcomes that set the tone for the second stanza.

Now let’s check what the table looks like from A-H and permutations ahead of the final group games.

Netherlands —- 4 points, Ecuador —- 4 points, Senegal —– 3 points, Qatar —- 0

Netherlands will face already eliminated Qatar hoping to at least avoid defeat to book their place in the Round of 16.

Ecuador face Senegal in the other game, that will be a winner takes all contest at the Khalifa Stadium on Tuesday. A draw will be enough for Ecuador to go through.

England —- 4 points, USA —- 4 points, Iran — 3 points, Wales — 1 point .

Buoyed with their healthy +6 goal difference, England will go through to the Round of 16 except they suffer a heavy defeat to Wales in what is dubbed the British battle.

USA and Iran face-off in the other Group game, knowing a win will book a place in the next round, but it is the Americans who are favourites here, a draw will secure their spot in the last-16.

Poland — 4 points, Argentina — 3 points, Saudi Arabia — 3 points, Mexico — 1 point

Another very exciting round of matches expected in this Messi-story filled group.

Attention will again be on Argentina and their chances of getting into the Knock-out round.

Argentina will face Poland in the final group game. A win will send the Lionel Messi inspired Copa America Champions into the next round.

That won’t come easy as the Robert Lewandoski skippered Poland are not safe and will fight to at least get a point which will book them a place in the Knock-out round.

Surprise package Saudi Arabia will face Mexico in the other Group game knowing a win will be enough to seal a last-16 spot. Mexico too are down but not out, a win for them plus a favourable result in the other game will see them through.

All to play for in this Group.

France — 6 points, Australia — 3 points Denmark —- 1 point, Tunisia —- 1 point.

France secured their place in the next round following the win over Denmark, the World Champions will face Tunisia in the final group game.

Tunisia will be eyeing a french upset to stand a chance of progression. Australia and Denmark play in the other game eyeing maximum points to progress.

Spain — 4 points, Japan — 3 points, Costa Rica — 3 points, Germany — 1 point.

Perhaps the toughest Group at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, nobody is safe, Spain will take on Japan and will go through if they get at least a point, while Germany must defeat Costa Rica to stand any chance of progressing to the Knock-out round.

A Japan win over Spain will make the German task even more daunting as they look to avoid yet another castrophic international tournament group stage exit.

Croatia — 4 points, Morroco — 4points, Belgium — 3 points, Canada — 0

Aside already eliminated Canada, it will be a win on the mind of the three other teams in Group F.

2018 World Cup finalists Croatia will face Belgium in the final group game, the winner here will surely progress to the next round, however a draw will still be enough for Croatia.

For Morroco, the 2-0 win over Belgium in round 2 has put their destiny in their hands, defeat Canada and book a spot in the Knock-out round or pray for a Croatia win to guarantee passage.

Brazil — 6 points, Switzerland — 3 points, Serbia — 1 point, Cameroon — 1 point.

The Samba boys are sure of their place in the Knock-out round but will take on Cameroon with their eyes fixed on claiming top spot in the Group.

The Cameroonians on their part will fight for the maximum points if they must stay in Qatar . Switzerland and Serbia cross heads in the other Group game, an exciting finale expected in this group in the battle for the remaining last-16 spot.

Portugal — 6 points, Ghana 3 — points, South Korea – 1 point, Uruguay 1 point.

With their perfect start to the tournament, Portugal are through to the last-16 while Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea will fight for the other spot.

The star match will certainly be Ghana’s meeting vs Luis Suarez’s Uruguay, a game that will bring back memories of the 2010 World Cup Quater Final game.

A Ghana win will send the Uruguyans parking from the 2022 World Cup, while defeat will see the South Americans inflict yet another pain on the West Africans.

South Korea face Portugal in the other game, a win for the Asians will put them in good stead, if Ghana fails to win, Goal difference will be key here if this happens.
